This restaurant serves both Taiwanese dishes and individual hot pots, which were delicious! Complimentary green tea is served, and the service was extremely friendly too.
Hot pots come with vermicelli, enoki mushroom, wood ear mushroom, tofu skin, egg, mini sausage, cuttlefish ball, imitation crab stick, lobster fish ball, and fish tofu. White rice and a bowl of chili dipping sauce is included as well.
I picked the best selling #8. Laksa Curry Hot Pot (加沙加哩鍋): napa, clam, fuzhou fish ball, tomato, baby octopus, fish filet, firm tofu, baby corn ($12.99). As for the meat, I had selected pork, but you can also have chicken, beef, or lamb.
The soup was creamy and flavorful, pork slices was tender, and the pot was filled to the brim full of stuff! Chili dipping sauce is rather spicy, so I only used a tiny bit at a time. Price is great for the amount you get, even lower than Boiling Point. There was enough that I brought home leftovers. -

We ordered pork over rice, spicy wontons and traditional Taiwan noodle soup. Everything was fine! The pork over rice was flavorful, but didn't feel the pork to rice portion was enough. The egg tasted a bit stale (very hard outside egg white). The traditional soup was interesting. The broth had a mild chicken and almost mustard taste. Probably wouldn't order it again. The wontons were good, but the shrimp was very tough (popping out of the wonton when biting into it).
Service was wonderful and the staff was very nice. -

I come here for the individual hot pot. My favorite is the spicy hot pot and I absolutely LOOOOVE it. Perfect, spicy broth with the right amount of ingredients.
This is me at GNB: I place my order and salivate for 15mins while I wait patiently. Once I get my food, I eat voraciously, trying to drink the broth without burning my throat. By the of end of the meal I'm sweating and have my hair pulled back in a ponytail. I gulp down my Coke to relieve my fiery mouth, and I just feel so...satisfied. Good mental image, is it not?
I've tried other things here too, like the noodles, wontons and baos. They're all good and worth a try...but the hot pot is a must! -

Swung by for a lunch. As good as my last meal. My friend had the personal hotpot. It was huge enough for two.
I had the special black pepper pasta. Noodles, hot pot lamb and a fried egg in a slightly spicy pepper sauce. All good stuff and great to warm you up on a chilly day -

I'm not too sure what the hype of this place is, but it was rather disappointing to me. Gourmet Noodle Bowl is tucked away a bit past the International District area.
I ordered the Popcorn Chicken Rice, and the popcorn chicken had some strange breading on it. Also, the oil in which the chicken was fried in definitely tasted a bit off. The bok choy was more on the crunchy/raw side, which was unpleasant.
Service was extremely slow here, as there was only one waiter for about 10 tables. I approached the front desk, handed my check and card to the manager (?), and she directed me to the poor waitress who was working with 10 other tables.
I don't think I'd come back here again when there are much better places within International District.
